In this project, I did illustrations for two Inuit tales about ravens. For the images, I used a style inspired by different wood textures to portray the story in a natural, honest sense. For the colors, I used black, pink, and black as the major color scheme to evoke the imagination of an arctic environment. For the cover, I used collage to correspond with the nature of ravens, as described in the tales—they "steal" (collect) a lot of things, just like artists love to collect different kinds of collage materials.
